The Department provides undergraduate and postgraduate teaching for medical, dental, physiotherapy, and nursing students in accordance with the latest curriculum. It offers 24/7 diagnostic services in Hematology, Clinical Pathology, Cytopathology, Histopathology, and Immunohistochemistry for patients at Ramaiah Medical College Hospital.

Seminar Halls

The department has 3 seminar halls with a seating capacity of 75, 50 and 25, respectively. All halls are equipped with LCD Projectors with internet-enabled computer systems.

Practical Halls

The department has two practical halls with capacity of 100 and 50 each. The student terminals have individual binocular self-illuminated microscopes. The hall is also equipped with projection monitors as teaching aids.

PG Research Laboratory

The department has a postgraduate research laboratory facility to promote research activities.

Audio Visual Aids

The department has three specialized microscopic teaching aids for advanced learning

Integrated museum

The Pathology department acquires an advanced integrated museum where rare and interesting barcoded specimens are mounted and displayed. The museum meticulously maintains catalogues for easy understanding of integrated approach to the disease processes and self-directed learning for undergraduate and postgraduate learning.

Blood Bank

The blood bank forms part of teaching training for UG and post graduates in Pathology. The blood bank is equipped with fully automated grouping and cross matching system, Chemiluminiscence for TTI disease screening, Apheresis systems and stem cell separation systems.
