World Hearing Day is observed on the 3rd of March every year to raise awareness on various aspects of hearing, be it preventive or curative. This year’s theme by the World Health Organization is "From Communities to Classrooms, hearing care for all children”. Schools and communities form natural entry points, not only to screen children but also gain a wider reach to their parents and teachers. Thus, integrating hearing care into schools and communities can help with prevention of treatable causes of deafness and early identification of children with hearing disability, to initiate prompt treatment
