Dr. Shivaraj N.S. is an Additional Professor of Biostatistics in the Department of Community Medicine at Ramaiah Medical College, Bengaluru. He obtained his Bachelor's degree from Yuvaraja's College, Mysore, and his Master's degree in Statistics from the University of Mysore. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Epidemiology and Public Health from Tampere University, Finland, under the International Postgraduate Programme in Epidemiology and Public Health (IPPE).

With over 22 years of academic and research experience, Dr. Shivaraj has been serving at Ramaiah Medical College since 2004. He teaches Biostatistics and Research Methodology to undergraduate and postgraduate students and provides statistical consultation to faculty members, researchers, and Ph.D. scholars across Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, and Engineering. He has successfully guided numerous research projects and has conducted several workshops on SPSS, research methodology, and statistical data analysis for healthcare professionals and researchers.

Dr. Shivaraj has contributed to several nationally and internationally funded public health research projects, including the Health Care Waste Management Project (UNIDO), Heart Rescue India Project (University of Illinois at Chicago, USA), Stroke Registry and Stroke Rehabilitation Projects (ICMR), and the Tuberculosis Drug Reaction Project (RGUHS). He has published more than 35 research articles in peer-reviewed indexed journals and has presented his work at national and international scientific conferences. Dr. Shivaraj is committed to promoting evidence-based healthcare through high-quality research, biostatistical excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and capacity building in research methodology.
