RMC promotes academic research across faculty and student levels to create an atmosphere of investigation and learning.

All PG students, across MD, MS, DM and M.Ch courses are required to present dissertations. While academic research is not mandatory for undergraduate students, RMC encourages its MBBS students to take up
short-term research activities, many of which are funded by reputed research organisations such as ICMR. Additionally, students also have the opportunity to
assist in research activities. Most research undertakings at the student level culminate in publications. Academic research at the faculty level revolves around student research in certain contexts. As a topic is explored to a greater extent, the scope of research widens. Faculty research is also of the investigative kind, where a faculty member dives into an an area of inquiry by conducting research around it. Typically, faculty research at RMC gets funded by organisations like ICMR and VGST.
